SEED - Sarracenia leucophylla var. leucophylla (Baldwin County, Alabama, USA) - White Pitcher Plant - 10+ Per Packet

Sarracenia leucophylla is widely regarded as the most stunning species of pitcher plant in America. The initial pitchers that appear in the season tend to be slender and delicate compared to the second batch that emerges in late summer. The later pitchers put on a dazzling display, with the upper portion showcasing a nearly pure white colour adorned with intricate veins ranging from green to pink to red to purple.

Sowing instructions:

• Sow on top of growing media, either peat of sphagnum can be used.
• Ensure good airflow too prevent mould growing on the surface of the media.
• Keep pot in bright lights to full sun.
• Once you have sowed the seed place the pot in a zip-lock bag in the fridge for 3 months to simulate winter to ensure best germination results.
• If the pot is ready before spring ensure the pot stays warm (like in the house) through Autumn and Winter to ensure you don't lose your seedling before they establish themselves as plants.
• Keep the pot standing in water at all times so the seed/seedling don't dry out.
• Harvested 2025.
