Acer palmatum 'Shaina' 30ltr

A compact, dense Japanese Maple growing to a maximum height of 3m. 

This beautiful upright little tree has distinctive bright red foliage from spring through to autumn. The Shaina is a compact and small tree that holds onto autumn leaves later than most Acers.

Uses:

An ideal specimen for mixed plantings, in a courtyard or anywhere it can be admired. Perfect in a sheltered garden.

Plant Care:

Japanese maples generally enjoy a sunny sheltered spot in any garden with good well-drained soil. A good organic mulch will help to keep the roots cool and moist during the hot dry spells experienced over the summer months. Trees can be clipped to form dense solid trees or pruned judiciously to create light dappled shade. To increase the height of a weeping maple you can select a strongly growing branch in spring and stake it upright to the desired height.
