Cattleya dowiana

Cattleya dowiana

A spectacular Cattleya species native to Central America, Cattleya dowiana is famous for its large, intensely fragrant flowers. The blooms feature rich golden-yellow petals and sepals surrounding a dramatic deep crimson-purple lip, often beautifully veined with gold.

Highly prized by collectors, this warm-growing species prefers bright filtered light, excellent drainage, good air movement, and a distinct drier rest after growth has matured.
