Philodendron Crassinervium (Large)

This mature plant has 4 vines in the pot.  Some of the earlier leaves at the bottom of the plant have some physical damage due to knocks, but the new leaves are gorgeous and around 80cm long.  They are glossy mid-green with a thick vein in the centre which retains water.  The aerial roots start a stunning red and turn brown as they age.

The plant will need a space approximately one metre wide to accommodate the length of the leaves, but it makes a lovely centre-piece to a cluster of plants, as its leaves embrace smaller specimens in front.

It is planted in a clear 20cm plastic pot in a quality chunky aroid potting mix including bark and perlite for good drainage.

The moss pole is plastic-coated wire mesh in two sections.  It is filled with sphagnum moss and coco chips, with fern fibre in the centre to assist with water retention while minimising mess.  It measures 1.46m tall and is supported by a plastic-coated metal stake 0.9m tall.
