Sarracenia flava var. maxima - American Pitcher Plant

Sarracenia flava var. maxima delivers impressive scale, producing some of the largest pitchers within the species, frequently surpassing 1 meter in height. Characterized by uniform yellow-green coloration with minimal red pigmentation, this variety commands attention through sheer botanical presence. An exceptional choice for collectors seeking a dramatic focal point in their carnivorous plant collection. This clone was originally from the Christchurch Botanical Gardens.

• Skill Level: Easy.
• Light: Min 3 hours direct sun, max all day.
• Water: Fill tray, keep in water at all times.
• Dormancy: New leaves stop forming during the colder months and old leaves will slowly die off.
• Pot Size 15cm (2L).

Please note some Sarracenia are very large in size and leaves will have to be bent or cut down to fit in smaller boxes. Leaves grow quickly so you don't need to worry about losing some.

• Larger orders mean larger boxes.
• If you need your plant to arrive at full height please message me after ordering to discuss shipping options.
• Bare root option is available to save on shipping, as the pots are 2kg each. Please message me if you wish to go this route, but take note you need special soil types to replant on arrival as they live in moss or peat, not potting soil.

The last pictures are of the parent plants to show you what they can grow into.
