Spoon Leaf Bird of Paradise

A lovely compact, clumping Bird of Paradise with blueish-grey leaves which are smaller and more spoon-shaped than that of the standard Strelitzia reginae. This variety: Strelitzia reginae sp. parvifolia has striking orange and blue flowers, resembling exotic birds, are displayed on tall stems throughout the warmer months. Ideal for large pots and adding a tropical touch to the garden or patio. Flowers and leaves are good for use in cut arrangements. Grows approximately 1.5 x 1.5m.

Prefers fertile, well-drained soil in full sun, with some protection from harsh summer heat. Keep moist in summer and drier in winter. Protect from heavy frost.
