Traveller's Palm

The Traveller's palm is a stunning indoor, patio or landscaping plant. Native to Madagascar, Ravenala madagascariensis are related to the Strelitzia family (Bird of Paradise). These plants have been carefully grown from seed in a greenhouse with regular watering and an occasional application of a liquid seaweed fertiliser. Ravenalas love warmth and bright light, with regular watering and a ~monthly feed with a high-nitrogen fertiliser. Summer growth is fast. In winter, growth will slow down so dial back the watering and feeding accordingly. 

They are sensitive to root disturbance, so care needs to be taken when repotting them.

Plants are around 20-30cm in height in an 11cm diameter planter pot. Plants are carefully packed into an oversized courier box for safe sending. Can fit two plants per box if required.
