Tropical Frangipani 'Singapore White'

Absolutely stunning white Frangipani.

The flowers are in rounded, bouquet-like clusters at the branch tips. The individual flowers are tubular, about 6cm across, and have 5 white, blunt-tipped, spreading lobes and a yellow centre. There is no tinge of red anywhere on the flowers or the flower buds.

 The flowers are sometimes followed by dry, brown, linear-oblong seed follicles containing numerous winged seeds. The leaves are quite thick and a shiny dark green colour on top, and paler green and prominently veined underneath, leathery, and narrowly oval-shaped with a distinctive rounded tip. The leaves are clustered near the tips of the thick, fleshy, brown branches.

Internationally recognised 'named varieties' of Frangipani are very rarely for sale in NZ.
