Jackfruit Seedling (Amber)

Jackfruit have the largest of all tree fruits and the second largest of all fruits after the giant pumpkin. It is a sweet and tasty relative of the Breadfruit, hugely popular and widespread throughout south Asia, south east Asia, tropical Australia and the Pacific.  Mature trees are tolerant of light frosts and have demonstrated success outdoors in the warmer parts of the Mediterranean with some protection. And ditto here in NZ.
The 'Amber' cultivar has little latex and fruits relatively quickly compared to some others. The lovely deep apricot colour (rather than yellow-to-orange) of the flesh gives this variety its name.
