Papaya 'Tainung #2'

Tainung #2 F1 Hybrid Papaya is sweeter than Tainung #1 and has fruit that averages over 1kg in weight. The flesh is orange-red, tender with great taste and quality. Softer outer shell than Tainung #1 and therefore doesn't ship well and is best suited to local distribution and consumption. High yield producer setting fruit at an average of 70cm. Outer skin ripens with a green orange colouring. Female fruits are globe shaped and hermaphrodite fruits have a pointed blossom end. Origin: Taiwan
