紅鳳梨<br><i>鳳梨</i>

Ananas bracteatus is a red pineapple, much more cold tolerant than its golden-coloured cousins. Yes, the fruit is certainly edible and is absolutely delicious if eaten when fully ripe, though this can be tricky to judge. The flower and fruit are quite spectacular and in high demand by florists!

Full sun, sheltered from wind, free-draining soil and regular feed - grow your own Red Pineapples at home.

*This one already has fruit forming, so the hard work is done!
