Queen Pineapple

This is a 'Queen' Pineapple (Ananas comosus). These turn golden and sweet when ripe, and the yellow-fleshed Queen pineapples are the best eating variety. They taste so much better than the supermarket ones and you can grow them for yourself. Plant it out in a frost free spot in the garden to grow your own juicy pineapples. Or better still, and a bit quicker - pop it in plastic tunnel house or greenhouse.
