Queen Sago Cycad (Cycas rumphii)

Selling a healthy, well-established Cycas rumphii (Queen Sago). Measures roughly 40cm from the base of the plant.

These don't pop up for sale in very often. Much harder to find in NZ than the usual King Sago (Cycas revoluta). The fronds on rumphii are longer, softer, and a brighter green with a really nice arching habit—looks far more lush and tropical.

Care:

Where to grow: Being a tropical cycad, it thrives outdoors year-round in frost-free spots (Auckland/Northland/Upper north island). In cooler areas, it works best in a pot on a sunny deck or patio, then shifted somewhere sheltered or indoors over the coldest part of winter.

Light/Water: Likes a bright spot with morning sun or dappled light. Very easy care—just don't overwater it and make sure the soil drains well.
