Description
Description
The Limequat tree is a small, evergreen citrus tree that is a hybrid of a Key Lime and a Kumquat. It is a popular choice for home gardeners due to its attractive foliage and delicious fruit. Limequats are heavy croppers, producing smooth, small, oval shaped yellow fruit that has a non-bitter acidic flavour. The fruit can be used in place of a lemon or a lime and makes a fantastic addition to a gin and tonic.
Limequat trees can be espaliered, grown in a container, or planted in the ground. They are easy to care for, are relatively drought-tolerant and have beautiful fragrant flowers. We consider a limequat to be a must for any of our friends or family's gardens. Try one, we are sure you will agree with us.
