Abiu Fruit Seedling

Abiu, or Pouteria caimito, is a tropical fruit tree originally from South America, though it is now widely cultivated throughout the world's tropical regions. It grows to an average of 10m high, and has ovoid (egg-shaped) fruits which also leads to it being widely referred to as the 'egg fruit'. Whatever you call it, it's utterly delicious. The inside of the fruit is translucent and white. It has a creamy and jelly-like texture with a taste resembling caramel custard with a hint of pineapple. Yum.
