Heliconia subulata

Heliconia subulata is a hardy heliconia which is a bit more cold tolerant than most of the large heliconias. Flowers during Spring and Summer. A great landscaping plant.

Typical height: 1.5m to 2.5m
Climate: Prefers tropical or subtropical climates, or warm protected areas in temperate climates 
Light conditions: Full sun to part shade
Growth habit: Clumping, upright
Growing conditions: Moist well drained soil, rich in organic matter
